Our beginner Māori language wānanga introduces you to the foundations including pronunciation, greetings, common words, simple phrases, and basic sentences. You’ll have a safe space to practice and meet others on the reo Māori journey.
This wānanga is designed for you to build confidence and strengthen your ability to use Māori language naturally in everyday life.
Wānanga iReo is perfect for absolute beginners who wish to connect with the Māori language and culture in a respectful, authentic way.
It combines practical language learning with cultural insight, so you go beyond learning the language — you live it.
This wānanga is designed to be a standalone wānanga and to compliment the iReo online courses. You don’t have to be doing the iReo courses to do this wānanga.
